I believe that business networking is the best way to move your business forward. Meeting the right people at the right time can be a life-changing opportunity. Together we can do more!

Running a business alone can be very stressful: day-to-day management, problems with unpaid invoices, employees and subcontractors. I am sure you have experienced any number of these challenges. Diverse Business Forum is the place for us to talk to each other, exchange best business practice and move onwards and up.

Since 2015 PBLINK became the facilitator of the Business Forum event in Edinburgh attracting nearly 100 business people each year. The all-day event is attended by some of the most successful diverse entrepreneurs operating in Scotland who want to share their experience with the participants. Forum is made up of 2 presentation sessions: Morning and Afternoon. Guest speakers have 30 minutes to deliver presentations and they are available to speak to delegates during break-out sessions. There is also a discussion panel, networking and lunch during the all-day event.

Hosted by Royal Bank of Scotland at Gogarburn HQ in Edinburgh once again this full day event brings a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs and business owners from diverse backgrounds and sectors to grow their networks, meet new business partners and clients.

Business Forum Speakers

Michael Dembinski, BPCC

Michael Dembinski was born in London in 1957. He studied at Warwick University and The City University, and worked at the Confederation of British Industry – for nine years as editor of CBI News – the monthly magazine of the employers’ organisation. Michael moved to Poland with his family in 1997 to take up the job of communications director of Polska Telewizja Kablowa – now part of UPC Polska, then worked as managing director of Trader.Com Polska – now a part of Agora SA. He has worked with the British Polish Chamber of Commerce since 2002.

Peter Queen, Geisel Consulting Limited

Peter Queen from Geisel Consulting Limited is a Business Development and Pre-Construction Consultant specialising in Business Growth, Investment Facilitation, and Global Trade.  Delivering positive, productive and profitable business transactions.

From embryonic niche start-ups, to the turnaround of long standing industry institutions, and the shaping of companies for investment, merger, acquisition and MBO.  Peter is evangelical about the strategic importance of people, communication, and professional relationships in the success of businesses – regardless of their sector of operation.

His business portfolio now encapsulates the facilitation of productive and profitable activity both domestically and globally.  These include transactions in Construction, Renewable Energies, Real Estate, Development, Product Innovation, Emerging Technologies, Investment, Insurance, and International Trade.

Tim Hillier, SBR Consulting

Tim’s passion for sales started during a University undergraduate role as a B2B Telemarketing consultant before working his way up to a Team Leader. He has extensive sales experience, at all levels, following a career progression from account manager, to senior sales consultant and sales manager. During these roles he continuously exceeded targets, with his work being rewarded with increasing levels of responsibility.

Tim then went to work in B2B telecommunications sales, starting as a Customer Account Manager before moving up to a Channel Account Manager. After his direct sales role, he went on to spend a number of years managing a team of Account Managers, directly responsible for their performance and development alongside assisting with and coaching to secure the most lucrative opportunities. Tim specialises in transferring this sales and leadership success, working with teams and individuals to elevate sales results through habitual change.
