During this session we will hear from our special guests, Cristina Irimie and Pedro Mendes of Happy People Learning Centre sharing some insights on the importance of skilled and site-ready workers in a business.
From unprecedented to unexpected times, 106 days separate us from 1st January 2021.
The construction industry is suffering serious shortages in the number of workers, that moved away during Covid-19 and are not returning to a dilapidated British Pound.
Education, on the other hand, does not promote construction as a viable career adding to the problem. Boris Johnson’s motto is construction, but where is the workforce?
This is the time to act and secure an engaged and well-trained team for 2021!

Currently, we do not know where the Government wants the low skilled labour to come from, the Home Office already struggles with normal business levels, imagine with the extra workload for Visa applications.

Speakers
Cristina Irimie, founder of HPLC
Cristina is an experienced Business Coordinator who, since she relocated to London 21 years ago, has been active in various industries. Entrepreneurial and passionate about her roots, she has long been known in London, Brussels and Bucharest as a voice of European migrants working in the UK.
Founding Happy People Learning Centre marked another milestone in her career as she managed, along with her incredible team, to change the way learning, development and assessment in the construction industry is done. Most recently, the centre launched its unique online assessment platform, Hyperbuilder, making it the only centre in the UK approved to deliver the GQA CSCS Labourer Card 100% online.
Pedro Mendes, Sales Director
Pedro is a Portuguese national who recently joined the HPL Centre team as the Sales Director. He brings a wealth of experience in starting, opening and operating new businesses. Recently relocated from South East Asia where he opened a flagship Hotel for a UK Operator, he believes that innovation and digitalization are the key to a successful business. His appointment comes as a result of common business values and so far, we are glad to say that he is a great addition to the HPL Centre team.
